Out & Equal sponsors a number of innovative programs designed to help both employers and employees achieve workplace equality for LGBT people.
The Workplace Summit: Held annually, the Workplace Summit has hundreds of workshops, dynamic plenaries, and a full slate of activities to provide human resource professionals, diversity managers, corporate leaders, employee resource groups, individual LGBT people and allies with the tools they need. This year’s Summit will be held October 209-November 1 in Baltimore.
The LGBT Global Workplace Summit takes place in London on July 4-6, 2012. This dynamic event will bring together people from around the world to consider ways to build greater equality in the workplace for LGBT people and our allies.
The Executive Forum is a unique opportunity for out and successful executive leaders to come together over the course of a multiday conference to learn from one another and share their best practices. Since the inaugural Forum in 2008, nearly 100 LGBT senior executives and emerging leaders have participated in the annual event.
The Out & Equal Leadership Celebration honors workplace courage and support of LGBT equality, specifically those organizations and individuals who take the lead on fundamental issues of equal rights in and out of the workplace.
The Town Call series features guest speakers presenting on current topics via one hour telephone conference calls. A Q&A session follows each presentation, creating an interactive learning experience. The brief program and conference call format are designed to meet the needs of busy working professionals and employee resource groups in any location.
Our Training & Education department offers diversity training, educational resources and consulting services to senior management, human resources professionals, employee resource groups and individual employees to promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) workplace equality. Our programs are designed and tailored for a wide variety of audiences including corporations, mid/small businesses, educational institutions, faith communities, governmental agencies, community groups and nonprofit organizations.

Regional affiliates produce local educational and networking events in order to share best practices and discussions about important LGBT workplace issues. These events provide an effective way for Out & Equal to serve the needs of individual employees, leaders of employee resource groups and human resources professionals beyond the annual Workplace Summit.
Get Your Story Out was created as a virtual center where people can share these experiences, addressing challenges and sources of support. By telling their personal story, participants can help others on their own path to being out–and equal–in the workplace. Out & Equal believes that this type of sharing, in addition to training and education, is the best way to keep the conversation about equality going, and can move us all towards a safer, more supportive workplace.
