Deloitte professionals have long been supporting organizations and efforts that share our commitment to the LGBT community, including spearheading fundraising events such as AIDS LifeCycle Rides and AIDS Walks, collaborating with the Point Foundation and the Trevor Project, and developing our own It Gets Better video. Deloitte also actively supports efforts focused on workplace fairness. For instance, we joined the Business Coalition for Benefits Tax Equity and have implemented a tax equalization benefit to offset the imputed income charged to professionals who cover same and opposite-sex domestic partners on their Deloitte medical and/or dental plans. Additionally, we joined the Business Coalition for Workplace Fairness in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

We have received a 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for the past six years and are a perennial on Fortune’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For; DiversityInc’s Top 50, ranking in the top 10 for the past two years; and Working Mother Media’s Best Companies for Working Mothers and Best Companies for Multicultural Women lists. Our leaders are often invited to speak at conferences and events; to help other organizations — including nearly half of the Fortune 100 companies — with their own initiatives; to write or be interviewed for articles on diversity in the workplace; and to participate with governmental agencies and committees on issues related to workplace flexibility, gender, and diversity.
