NY Finger Lakes regional affiliate takes action for marriage

NY Business for MarriageCongratulations to the members and leadership of Out & Equal New York Finger Lakes for their advocacy for marriage yesterday!

Ralph Carter, the Chair of the Outreach Committee, shared this:

Many thanks to members of Out & Equal NY Finger Lakes who attended the press event on the steps of City Hall.  All major TV and radio news organizations appeared to be present, so be sure to check out broadcasts during this evening’s news.

Emily Jones, council chair, joined Rochester Mayor Tom Richards, and City Council member, Matt Haag, and others in sharing brief remarks.  Emily’s remarks may be read here.

Another way to move this “ball” is to encourage area businesses to join the business coalition, NY Business for Marriage.  They may do so online at the Empire State Pride Agenda.

You can view a clip of the press conference here (note: there is a 14 second ad for pre-schools that precedes the clip).
